The Associate Test Publisher (ATP) is responsible for a range of duties in relation to the publishing and quality assurance of the exams of Pearson VUE’s clients.
The ATP is accountable to management and is responsible for assisting Test Publishers with various tasks in the test publishing process. These include building exams, basic exam development functionality, pricing and some workflow management. The ATP will be also be responsible for assisting Test Publishing Quality Assurance analysts with quality assurance checks. As the ATP will sometimes work across both Test Publishing and Test Publishing Quality Assurance functions, they will undertake to commit to preserving the independence of each function and will not work on the same exam within each function.
Key Responsibilities
To build exams in line with sponsor specifications, and publish them to the Pearson VUE testing system.
Use software for administering, scoring and interpreting Pearson VUE’s testing system and client exams.
Through liaison with the wider Exam Services team, ensure the highest quality standards for all testing materials.
Proactively plan for the attainment of future goals.
Effective and timely completion of personal objectives, requested reports and administration projects as assigned by team leader.

Key Activities
Use proprietary and general software tools to data load and build tests to client specification, and publish them to the Pearson VUE testing system.
Conduct Quality Assurance tasks and reviews of exams for consistency with source files.
Ensure that the test output matches the test specification with regard to the accuracy of scoring, documenting discrepancies using standard forms and procedures when necessary.
Provide detailed, timely, efficient tracking and reporting on all assigned projects.
The anticipated starting hourly wage for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $48,000. This position is not eligible to participate in an incentive program.

Qualifications
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry-related experience.
Experience and understanding of software programming, testing and quality assurance concepts.
Experience of Microsoft Office products and technologies, including MS Excel and Word.
A keen attention to detail with a logical and common sense approach to objectives, goals and projects.
Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
Experience of working in a highly pressured environment.
Proven outstanding level and knowledge of English language (written and oral). The ability to successfully communicate to all audience types and across multiple cultures.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
- XML, HTML, Java or other scripting language experience preferred.
