The RLI Surety team is growing and we are looking to hire an Associate Surety Solutions Representative to work in our Peoria, IL headquarters. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of duties primarily focused on supporting our underwriting teams and providing great service to our agent and broker partners. The position provides a healthy mix of both individual contribution and team collaboration, so is eligible for a hybrid schedule once training and job performance has been established.

Position Purpose
Under general supervision, promote the business goals of the RLI surety segment by providing exceptional service and solutions to our bondholders, producers and underwriters.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Confer with customers (bondholders, producers, underwriters) by telephone,
e-mail or web chat in order to provide assistance with surety business needs.
Examples would include:
- Helping our agents to learn and navigate our bond transactional systems.
- Assisting with bond fulfillment and related status inquiries.
- Guiding our agents through basic bond knowledge questions and interacting with our underwriters to provide the best solution.
- Contribute to our team culture goals of being passionate customer service leaders. We don’t just solve problems, we create exceptional and memorable service experiences that generate customer loyalty and drive repeat business.
- Participate in maintaining customer relationship management information and bond information for the organization.
- Participate in maintaining service & support knowledge that improves the team’s responsiveness and affords self-service opportunities for our customers.
- Assists with special projects and other duties when needed.
Education & Experience
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and basic experience in a similar field or position. Experience working in a call center or contact center environment preferred. Experience working with insurance or surety products preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies
- Ability to interact professionally and work well in a high-performance team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in all mediums to include phone, e-mail, and in person.
- Ability to work independently, and perform quality work within deadlines.
- Ability to develop and maintain procedures.
- Ability to multi-task.
