Associate Specialist, Manufacturing Automation

Our Engineers support internal and external manufacturing operations to remain operational, continuously improve and innovate. With our extensive range of facilities and environments, our Engineers have opportunities across many diverse areas including Biological, Chemical, Automation, Capital Projects, Maintenance, Safety, Process Development, Technical Services, Utilities and Validation. The Associate Specialist Manufacturing Automation will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing automation systems including the following:

• Trouble-shooting taxing equipment / automation issues to improve manufacturing performance (e.g. yield improvements, etc.)
• Maintaining the automation systems in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Provide assistance as a representative of a startup or existing production team providing technical assistance in fulfilling the automation requisites for the team.
• Reviewing automation documents, preventive maintenance, and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice and safety.
• Developing corrective actions for investigations related to automation or IT systems.
• Use technical knowledge to assure the efficient operation of variety of automated processing and information technology systems.
• Participates in audits and training programs.
• On-floor promotion of manufacturing activities.
• Provides client services for business area applications.
• Participation in Kaizen events.

Other:

• Standard Operating Procedure development and review.
• Direct regulatory inspections and audits.
• Direct validation activities and all other associated Quality functions.
• Other duties requested by Management.

Education Minimum:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Information Technology or other relevant discipline

Preferred Experience:

• Programmable Logic Controllers, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, DCSs, Manufacturing Execution System, Batch Operations (S88/S95), Instrumentation Team, and Original Equipment Manufacturer equipment
