We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified Associate Specialist Customer Supply Chain to join our Customer Solutions department in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will be a results-oriented teammate who has a passion to succeed. Remote candidates will be considered if the candidate demonstrates strong skills as defined below and is available for travel.
AGDC Customer Supply Chain organization is responsible for growing our service and value proposition to Direct customers, Altria operating companies and Field Sales. In your role, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with components of the Altria supply chain to provide outstanding service and support to our customers.
In this role you will:
- Develop an understanding of AGDC’s supply chain operations
- Communicate daily via phone and e-mail with Direct Customers and AGDC Field Sales personnel
- Utilize a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to create and track interactions with customers
- Establish and cultivate collaborative partnerships with AGDC’s direct customers and Field Sales, 3rd party vendors and Altria’s operating and service companies to provide ambitious solutions to our partners
- Manage service exceptions by investigating relevant information, identifying issues and determining solutions
- Provide SAP data entry for customer related activities
- Provide value to our direct customers by understanding their order requirements and inventory practices to improve upon our processes with creative distribution solutions while adhering to business and regulatory requirements
- Identify and champion opportunities for optimization of AGDC’s finished goods distribution network, systems, and order-to-cash processes
We want you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, preferably with a focus in Supply Chain and Logistics or related field such as Business Information Technology, Industrial Systems Engineering
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment that can include periods of uncertainty and frequent change.
- Confident enough to interact across multiple organizational levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organized, focused and take a disciplined approach to your work.
- Problem solving and analytical capabilities to identify root problems and continuously improve processes.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new technology quickly.
