About Prevail Therapeutics

At Prevail Therapeutics, we are developing a pipeline of gene therapies to slow or stop the underlying disease process for patients with Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. We are leveraging recent breakthroughs in human genetics that point to potential disease-modifying targets for neurodegenerative diseases. Our programs utilize a precision medicine approach targeting patient populations with urgent unmet needs, where there are currently no available therapies that modify the progressive course of their disorders. We are seeking a Research Associate to join their expanding team. In this role, you will perform routine sample testing (HPLC, DLS, UV, etc.) to support gene therapy AAV programs. This includes preparing samples, setting up and running the instruments, and analyzing data. Additional, we are seeking someone with experience in ELISA, ddPCR, and aseptic cell culture work. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Perform cell-based assays such as transfections and potency assays.
  • Record and document experiments, analyze data and offer conclusions obtained from sample testing.
  • Assist with training and transfer of methods.
  • Broadly contribute to strategic thinking and development or experiments that help characterize novel gene therapies.
  • Assist in lab managing tasks like ordering, labeling, and inventory tracking.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in a scientific discipline with 3 years of work experience or MS degree
  • Experience in Elisa, qPCR/ddPCR, or cell culture as part of undergraduate research, graduate research, academic or industry appointments.

Additional Skills and Preferences:

  • Experience with separation-based analytical techniques (HPLC or CE) is desired.
  • Prior working knowledge and experience with Potency assays and prior experience with gene therapy is a plus.
  • Expertise in creative thinking and multitasking with strong communication skills and comfort in a fast-paced, work environment.
  • A Motivated, detail-oriented, quick learner.
