Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for data collection and processing, image reconstruction and data analysis using commercially available and proprietary registration and image analysis software
  • Provide and maintain database management for all acquired data including analysis of scans; Assurance of security of information for security purposes
  • work with other staff in compilation of data; provide guidance in data acquisition and analysis
  • Under limited supervision, conducts experiments using advanced techniques specific to the research project. Analyzes and assists in interpreting moderately complex results

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with relevant medical experience. Master’s, or PhD is a plus
  • Prior experience with medical image analysis or other relevant computer data analysis is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of neuroimaging and computational neuroscience software packages such as FSL, Freesurfer, SPM, etc.)
  • Experience with fMRI analysis and constructing and optimizing analysis pipelines.
  • Fluency in multiple programming languages (including MATLAB, Python, R) and the ability to quickly learn new programming languages and tools as required
  • Experience with the architecture, design, and implementation of the software and hardware computational frameworks for neuroimaging, including familiarity with XNAT/ DICOM file processing and NiFTI-1 file processing
  • Experience with command-line development tools in a Linux environment
  • Extensive experience with supporting life sciences research, including neuroscience and neuroimaging research
  • Experience with administrating core facility management software systems (Calpendo, XNAT)
  • Some knowledge with relational databases (MySQL)
  • Willing to commit 2 years at a minimum
  • Good organizational skills; ability to work with others and individually
