Job Description
IQE has been in business for over 30 years and is a recognized global leader in the semiconductor wafer products industry. We are currently seeking two QC Inspectors, the primary responsibilities are to inspect wafers as well as packing wafers for shipping. This will involve inspection and testing of production materials. The inspectors will be responsible for visual inspection, QC measurements and other activities specified by the QC manager. The inspector will report to Operations Planning Manager.
Two vacancies are available for:
Shift A (Sun-Tues alt Wednesday 645am -7:15 pm)
Shift C (Thurs-Sat alt Wednesday 645am -7:15 pm)
  • Wafer inspection
  • Must be able to manually handle wafers for inspection with no damage to the material
  • Must be able to operate the following equipment: wafer sorter & sealer
  • Package material required to ship
  • Implement all cleanroom protocols and procedures to maintain the cleanroom environment
  • Keep accurate records of assigned tasks
  • Perform data entry where required, monitor all SPC (Statistical Process Control) charts, notify supervisor or engineer when out of control situation occurs and perform any OCAP (Out of Control Action Plan)
  • Provide support of Process Engineers via data collection per written instructions or as directed by the shift supervisor
  • Support of Process Engineering experiments per written instructions
  • Some minor Hazardous handling in a clean room environment
  • Compliance to all company policies, SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and Work Instructions.
  • Be actively involved with the safety program, providing feedback to the safety team on areas of improvement within the work environment
Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Holds required Level 1 Certifications; holds some required level 2 certifications if applicable
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of area equipment and/or processes
  • Identifies basic problems and presents these issues to QC lead or Manager
  • Uses basic software pertaining to equipment and process needs, and utilizes area Software applications for Production needs
  • Demonstrates a beginner understanding of process and equipment interactions
  • Performs basic PMs and calibration for assigned equipment according to established procedures under supervision
  • Aids in the troubleshooting process and applies basic skills and experience to complete assignments and applies basic troubleshooting knowledge
  • Identifies problems and brings it to the attention of the appropriate level Technician or Supervisor
  • Follows technical procedures; receives periodic instruction on new procedures from others
  • Has a basic understanding of impact and risks to standard processes
  • Works within the group function to accomplish tasks
  • Receives some coaching from others and gives basic feedback on improvement activities within own department
  • Understands concepts and theories as presented by others
  • Receives and uses training and documentation as well as plans for work and tasks assigned
  • Supplies required information to tasks assigned
  • Works independently and with team to meet project deadlines

Technical Knowledge:

QC inspection experience

Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D.
