We are seeking a full-time Investment Banking Associate to work in our Arlington, VA office. The Investment Banking Associate will work closely with senior bankers to execute transactions and/or advisory assignments on behalf of the Firm’s clients. The successful candidate will provide analytical, quantitative and process support for the team.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Build and maintain financial statement and modeling analysis
- Serve as the project manager on teams; help to manage the deal process from origination to execution
- Involved in both corporate finance and M&A
- Conduct due diligence for potential transactions
- Prepare pitch books and presentations for client meetings
- Develop and prepare marketing presentations, analyze client equity and fixed income portfolios, research current trends and assist with trading and offer general client service and team support
- Organize and prepare drafting sessions and road show presentations
- Train and mentor the junior staff
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Strong educational background with coursework in finance and accounting, MBA or promoted as an investment banking analyst preferred for Associate level
- Three to five years of Investment Banking experience or equivalent in private equity, corporate development, and or/ consulting
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79 and 63 licenses are required
- In-depth Understanding of the fundamentals of accounting and financial statement analysis, and hands on experience with financial modeling and corporate valuation analysis
- Working knowledge of deal structuring and closing principals
- Experience managing due diligence process in M&A transactions
- Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to articulate complex concepts
- Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint
