Position Summary:
The Associate Director will be responsible for all aspects of building a successful sourcing team - from designing recruiting strategy, effectively building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders across the National University System (NUS), leading and inspiring a team, and achieving headcount targets and all KPIs. Under direct supervision of the Director, Talent Acquisition, the Associate Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership, hiring managers, and HR Business Partners to successfully deploy strategic talent acquisition solutions across the National University System (NUS) and its affiliates. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Associate Director will engage and partner with executive level stakeholders on market trends, sourcing metrics, operational processes, systems, and tools ensuring alignment with key business priorities and objectives, while driving a culture of diversity and inclusion. This role will manage and partner with TA, hiring managers, and HRBPs against headcount plans and progress to hiring goals while recommending strategies and standards for attracting top talent with pro-active sourcing strategies and successful use of technology tools.
Essential Functions:
- Drive talent sourcing and recruitment across National University System and affiliates
- Engage and partner with executive level stakeholders as the recruiting SME on market trends, sourcing metrics, operational processes, systems and tools
- Lead, develop and manage a team of recruiters to deliver and hire high quality candidates
- Manage and partner with TA and Business leaders against headcount plans, progress to hiring goals, and all operational metrics
- Utilize analytical thinking to diagnose business challenges, recommend solutions and action plans, and identify hiring trends
- Manage, leverage, and challenge existing recruiting strategies, methods, and systems to generate a proactive and efficient approach to sourcing, screening, assessing and on-boarding qualified top talent.
- Cultivate and maintain ongoing partnership with HR Business Partners and business leadership in order to understand business unit dynamics, workforce planning strategies, internal mobility and recruitment needs to support a seamless hiring process.
- Leads the development of a successful pipeline of diverse, quality talent and establish processes for HRBPs and hiring managers on applicable sourcing techniques.
- Connects with local and national diversity & inclusion organizations to reach out and collaborate in the development of impactful programs to increase our pipeline of diverse candidates for targeted groups.
- Build out diversity and inclusion best practices throughout the hiring process (i.e., train interviewers on bias, report on D&I goals and more)
- Partner with hiring managers during each stage of the process
- Train team members, interviewers, and hiring managers on best-in-class hiring practices

Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, required; and seven (7) years’ experience in full-cycle recruitment, to include:
- Two (2) years in a supervisory role within a higher education environment, a plus; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of current trends, innovations and best practices within talent acquisition

- Organized creative strategic thinker with a process-oriented approach to recruitment, candidate management and onboarding
- Experience consulting, presenting, and communicating with executives and all levels of key stakeholder partnerships
