KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing Travel Category Manager to join our Finance and Accounting organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Head of Travel, to develop and execute category strategies and sourcing plans for KPMG’s US Travel Management Services; this includes: Transportation, Lodging, TMC, T&E technology solutions, Corporate Card, and other related sub-categories, as needed
  • Bring subject-matter expertise/insights and market intelligence and best practices to ensure sourcing solutions meet travel business needs; formulate negotiation strategies and plans; manage contracting activities with suppliers for subcategories in scope
  • Partner with various internal functions, including Legal, F&A, Independence, Third Party Risk, IT Digital Security, and Risk, to ensure adherence with applicable policies, independence requirements, regulatory conditions, and achievement of favorable contractual terms
  • Facilitate supplier relationship management through development and tracking of Key Performance Indicators for the travel category; establish collaborative environment with key suppliers and business partners to optimize supplier performance and innovation
  • Identify and assess risks and benefits of sourcing decisions and clearly present proposals to mitigate risks collaboratively, ensuring sustained product supply-quality-compliance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years of recent Travel sourcing experience required
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience; MBA and other relevant degree /certification highly desirable
  • Proven experience in leading travel category management and strategic sourcing initiatives including opportunity diagnostic, strategic sourcing process, contract negotiations, supplier management, and program management with a proven track record of delivering business impact
  • Expertise in the travel industry and proven experience in leading sustainable high impact sourcing approaches beyond competitive bidding; ability to lead comprehensive sourcing strategies (RFX) across the entire Travel Category; be comfortable managing the RFX process, risk identification, negotiation, contracting and onboarding
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative and influencing skills to effectively navigate a complex management and organization structure with a high degree of ambiguity
  • Demonstrated analytical, financial, problem solving, organization and excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence others and effectuate change management and best practices; strong project management skills and ability to liaise with all levels of the organization
