Job Description


Overview:

The Associate Director of Conversion Optimization will be responsible for reforming and guiding our conversion optimization practice and will require you to help lead the results of clients' Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) programs. This role will require you to architect a effective model from the current building blocks to engage clients in consulting, managed, and deliverable-based solutions, provide thought leadership on landing page testing and user experience consulting, fostering relationships internally and with clients, establish clear lines of communication with partners and internal staff, and deploy problem-solving capabilities to ensure flawless program implementation to meet and exceed stated goals.


The ideal Associate Director of Conversion Optimization will possess an eye for detail, a mind for creativity, and the ability to effectively oversee and facilitate projects and processes for internal and external clients. Results will depend on the ability to enthusiastically and skillfully deliver on the following:

  • Recalibrating, navigating, servicing, and growing enterprise-level CRO engagements
  • Demonstrating expertise in CRO plan, implementation, reporting and analysis
  • Representing a savvy for A/B testing and data-driven User Experience (UX)
  • Planning and delivering continued growth
  • Conveying an entrepreneurial spirit that melds with our friendly, smart, pragmatic, and humble coworkers
  • Successfully collaborating with internal resources (including design, analytics and cross-channel teams)
  • Making team members, internal clients and external clients smile big and often

Role Responsibilities:

Practice Leadership

  • Develop and lead a team of CRO professionals in the activation of creative campaigns for enterprise clients
  • Serve as the primary contact for all items related to the clients and their program goals
  • Collaborate and interface with the internal account teams to drive strategic program plans·
  • Keep Account Leads and key team members apprised of key client opportunities and identify any other key nuances which affect the health of the business
  • Coordinate conversion opportunity efforts including landing page optimization, web site testing and other optimization tactics to improve performance across digital media campaigns
  • Interface with other departments to share ideas, communicate service offerings, and identify new solutions for clients
  • Lead client programs with enthusiasm and clarity
  • Lead overall strategy and tactics needed to achieve stated client goals

Program Management

  • Oversee the daily workflow of all client programs with coworkers across disciplines
  • Review client deliverables for quality and ensures that recommendations and work product are sound and viable
  • Provide excellent communication via phone, emails and direct contact
  • Create and delivers client presentations
  • Provide thought leadership to clients in UX and Conversion design
  • Command data analysis of key metrics to identify, recommend and implement changes for increasing the performance of client programs
  • Use analytics as an input source for strategy and program direction

Team Leadership & Development

  • Assist in the development and documentation of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group
  • Identification of new developments and trends in the marketplace around CRO and digital content marketing
  • Embrace and encourage a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and curiosity
  • Adopt responsibility expectations and program best practices
  • Assist in training, mentoring, and developing team members
  • Lead with patience, high emotional intelligence, and enthusiasm for others’ perspectives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally concentrated in business, marketing, website design, or user experience
  • 3-5 years of account management or activation experience in online advertising, conversion rate optimization, or website development
  • Firm knowledge of CRO best practices, program management and technical savvy
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion path optimization
  • Familiarity with testing platforms, which may include Optimizely, AB Tasty, Adobe Target, Unbounce, etc.
  • Understanding of online analytics metrics and related statistical concepts
  • Experience with a web analytics platform such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
  • Exposure to website development/design processes including development of wireframes, preferred
  • Technical knowledge and aptitude to learn basic website architectural design, HTML, CSS and XML a plus
  • Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills
  • Able to work autonomously and balance multiple tasks
