The RIS Rates organization has an immediate opening for an Associate Director – FP&A Rates to lead the SAS Rates department. The position plays a critical role in the financial success of the company and offers a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and insight into how strategic management decisions impact the bottom-line performance of the company. Responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of 8 finance professionals responsible for:
- The development and submission of relevant Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP) updates to external DCMA/DCAA customers
- Planning and establishment of calendarized base and expense plans for ~20 primary and secondary indirect pools
- Direct Labor Rate (DLR) development, maintenance, and compliance
- Analysis of Product Line element of cost forecasts for labor, material, and other pool base
- Preparation of monthly DCMA Reports and Ops Charts
- CER Direct Pools (MSP) development, maintenance, and compliance
- Supporting the incurred cost submission
- Analysis and updates to most likely forecasts/EACs/annual affordability
- Preparation of relevant 1030 inputs for submission to Corporate
- Analysis and preparation of relevant monthly, quarterly & year end accruals
- Analysis of overall pool headcount changes and trends
- Rates focal point for re-organizations, functional structure updates, and internal/external audits impacting the SAS CAS segment
- Supporting SAS special projects, as required
- Weekly SRO status of Over/Under impact to HQ Sales, Profit and Cash
- Providing training/education to stakeholders, as needed
- Ensuring compliance with segment disclosed practices and proper integration with downstream segments
Required Skills:
- Minimum 12 years prior relevant Finance work experience
- Self-guided, self-motivated, and highly organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information concisely
- Innovative, strategic thinker
- Ability to effectively lead and develop teams
- Ability to form an excellent working relationship with resident DCMA and DCAA offices
- Experience in multiple finance disciplines; Program Controls, FP&A, Accounting, Rates, Budgets, E&P, etc.
- Understanding of FPRP development and HQ “Over/Under”
- Experience in DoD or Aerospace industry
- Prior supervisory experience
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with SAS Disclosure Statement
- Experience in Rates, Cost Accounting, and/or Government Accounting
- SAP Experience (cost center hierarchy, costing sheets, cost element groups, etc.)
Required Education:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years experience
