About the Team

You will be part of the PBKids Product Development team responsible for the concept, design & execution of the print & pattern for the Pottery Barn Kids Brand. Our job is to ensure we deliver an elevated & whimsical print & pattern POV to our customer & to ensure that the PBK brand continues to evolve thru relevant and unique print & pattern.

About the Role:

Concept, create & execute print & pattern for PBK brand every season.

Responsibilities

  • Translate trends into print & pattern concepts that respond to business needs
  • Create compelling print & pattern that reflects & compliments the overarching mood of the season
  • Present ideas & artwork to Head Designer for review and approval
  • Work closely w/manager & design counterparts to ensure all print needs for the season are met
  • Work w/outside print studios to set up print appointments, relay concept direction & commission art projects when necessary
  • Revise color & scale of art as needed to get spec ready
  • Create technical art spec’s
  • Review vendor cads & strike off submits; advise comments & approvals to vendors

Criteria

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years product design experience.
  • Degree in Design or equivalent experience.
  • Deadline driven, organized and good at managing cross-functional and vendor relationships.
  • Ability to use a computer for extended period of time.
  • Photoshop and Illustrator experience required.
  • Drawing & hand painting skills required
