POSITION SUMMARY:
The Demand Planner helps create and maintain the demand forecast for 5.11 Omni-channel business by incorporating business intelligence, forecast methodologies and forecast information gathered from sales teams, marketing, product, retail, finance, and other sources. This position leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in Omni-channel, utilizing the appropriate systems and tools necessary to drive the most efficient, and effective, demand forecast process with a high level of accuracy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use advanced forecasting and inventory management techniques to develop Omni-channel demand forecast plans
- Generate seasonal forecasts using historical data, market trends and product lifecycle inputs
- Align with Omni-channel business to plan new floor sets, replenishment quantities, and end of life descent
- Partner with Omni-channel and supply planning team to discuss open-to-buy and impact on monthly inventory buys and safety stock strategies
- Develop detailed bottoms up demand plans with cross functional partners and reconcile with top-down financial revenue targets
- Help drive product lifecycle calendar with Omni-channel team– from product launch through end of life, driving conversations on disposition of closeout and aged inventory.
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
- Lead monthly demand meeting with multiple cross-functional partners to ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
- Maintain demand planning system and software. Enter and modify data. Ensure accuracy of master data & product hierarchy. Identify & incorporate relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence into forecast.
- Implement business solutions by building relationships with key stakeholders, provide key inputs for the S&OP and develop and report on KPI’s to drive results

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following credentials:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Forecast Analyst, Demand Planner or Retail Planner
- Experience with forecasting, buying, inventory planning and control processes in apparel, footwear and accessories preferred and knowledge of agency procurement processes a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office and advanced Excel skills required
- Proficiency with MS Dynamics and Power BI a plus
- Experience utilizing advanced planning systems such as Logility or similar system required
- Excellent written/oral communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
