Pearson VUE is currently seeking an Associate Content Developer in the Content Development Department.

As an Associate Content Developer, you will work collaboratively with a team of content developers in building examinations, creating and maintaining exam question databases, preparing for and facilitating content development meetings, preparing examinations for publication, coordination of examination translation projects, and the collecting and reporting of data related to the team's activities. In addition, you will support the team with recruitment and coordination of external subject matter experts.

Your responsibilities will include the timely completion of detailed quality control tasks for ensuring that published exams meet content and functionality specifications and are error-free. Quality control tasks include but are not limited to performing validations of computer-based examinations prior to publication; documenting and escalating deviations in exams according to established protocols; running full end-to-end quality checks of exams with Pearson VUE's proprietary software.

As an Associate Content Developer, you will also perform a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the integrity of exam question metadata. The team will rely on you for accuracy and efficiency with sustained detail-oriented tasks is required. Flexibility is required when responding to multiple work requests as is the ability to work closely with a team to prioritize work and meet deadlines is extremely desirable.

As an Associate Content Developer, you will be a part of a high-caliber, team-oriented environment. Your will adhere to a traditional daily schedule but will also enjoy flexibility with core hours.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare computer-based examinations for publication

    • Build examination specifications
    • Prepare examination content for publication
    • Perform validations prior to publication
  • Support content development client meetings

    • Assist with recruitment and payment of external subject matter experts
    • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate client meetings
  • Coordinate examination translation assignments with approved vendors

  • Perform database maintenance, data entry, and referencing tasks

  • Proofread content in various applications including Word, Excel, and proprietary Pearson VUE systems

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred

2 years professional office work experience preferred
