Associate Attorney F/T

Small thriving Family Law firm in downtown Chicago has an opening for a skilled Associate Attorney who is serious about their work but would like to skip the grind of the big firms, gain better professional experience, and work 40 hours per week (with no weekends) in a warm, welcoming environment.

Required qualifications

• A recent law school graduate barred in the state of Illinois looking to be on a partnership track.
• Must come into the downtown Chicago office
• Must desire to work collaboratively
• Demonstrate a real desire to grow, learn and better their legal skills
• Able to follow directions, and exceed expectations by anticipating issues
• Resourceful and proactive
• Desire to manage a personal caseload from start to finish
• Strong interest in business development and networking
• Demonstrated interest in bar association leadership
• Not afraid to ask questions
• Good sense of humor and outgoing personality
• Detail oriented, meticulous, and only turns in work they are proud of

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with Clio and e-filing experience are a plus
• Ease with cloud-based technology--Dropbox, Clio, G-suite and other integrations
• Desire to play softball a plus

This AA will handle all aspects of litigation process including trials, discovery, mediations, and motion practice. Other duties include drafting pleadings, covering hearings and contacting clients.

IL bar license is a must. Good communication skills. Committed to company goals and stellar client service. Cover letter letter and resume required.

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 (based on experience)
