C.H. Robinson’s Accounts Payable team is a fast-paced, process-driven environment, responsible for multiple facets of the Accounts Payable function. The Associate Accounts Payable Representative will be responsible for ensuring invoices are routed, processed, and paid in a timely and efficient manner. They will research problems and resolve standard disputes to ensure important deadlines are met.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and process invoices on the carrier aging using the accounts payable system ensuring timely and accurate payments to our LTL carriers
- Process supplier invoices in accordance with Service Level Expectations (SLAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Research and resolve all past due balances or standard disputes
- Communicate with employees and carriers to resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
- Review past due invoice balances
- Assist with invoice entry, researching responsible party for billing purposes, and processing refunds
- Help process month end close
- Provide timely escalation of issues requiring 2nd level support to Accounts Payable Supervisor or Manager
- Participate in department projects and company initiatives as required
- Continue to develop skills and build upon knowledge of Accounts Payable processes
- Be in constant contact with assigned carriers AR departments
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs, especially Excel
- Ability to perform in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
- Solid attention to detail and ability to work well within a deadline driven environment
- Perform functions efficiently and accurately
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong 10-key and typing skills
- Positive, professional attitude and customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
