The associate director of leadership and student organizations is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and enhancement of leadership education and student organization programs and services, which provide resources and opportunities for students to grow and succeed at Carolina. This includes the management and implementation of comprehensive leadership education programs and student organization initiatives. This position will supervise staff in the unit, oversee budget development, and collaborate with key stakeholders.
Primary duties include:
Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 4 years related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience.
This position has been designated as essential personnel during inclement / hazardous weather and other emergencies. In addition, this position requires a variable work schedule. Evening and weekend hours will be required.
Driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to drive 7 and 15 passenger vans required.

- Oversight of coordination of initiatives and resources for all student organizations including student organization programming, use of a technology platform, and a comprehensive registration, renewal, and reactivation process.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate professional staff and oversee the hiring of graduate assistants, practicum students, and interns of the unit.
- Partner and collaborate with key campus offices to ensure programs, services, and activities support a diverse, equitable and inclusive learning and work environment
