Responsible for the management of day to day biostatistics activities, ensuring everyone is well-trained on ICON standard processes, and promoting efficiency, quality, and timeliness in project work. Represents biostatistics and
statistical programming on operational committees for smaller portfolios.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintains effective team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and coaching employees; ensures a safe, secure, and compliant work environment; provides employees with professional development and growth opportunities.
  • Monitors and actively manages projects quality, timeliness and budgets to foresee and correct issues and to assure project expectations are met.
  • Balances staff utilization to meet departmental financial targets whilst ensuring work-life balance.
  • Manages resources and discretionary expenses within team.
  • Participates in internal and client audits.
  • Participates in proposal development for standalone, small programs and/or new drug applications (NDAs).

QualificationsQualifications:
  • MS degree in Statistics or Biostatistics
  • 12 years of relevant experience, including 4 years of people management experience
  • Strong knowledge of clinical research guidance
  • Strong knowledge of advanced biostatistical methodology
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into operational plans and their execution
  • Good written and oral communication skills with demonstrated leadership ability
