Assistant Warehouse Manager

This position is responsible for warehousing and distribution management in a wholesale furniture distribution center.
It involves order fulfillment, inbound, outbound shipments, cycle counting, training employees for best practices.

Receiving incoming container shipments - unloaded, verifying and put away.

Check outgoing shipments to validate inventory to match pick demand, validate transfer picking accuracy, and ensure all items are free of defect or damage.
Responsible for inventory accuracy, coordination, and management of inventory processes.
Research inventory discrepancies for pick demands and transfers.
Perform research on inventory issues and coordinate with Operations to devise a resolution.
Conduct inventory cycle counts and physical inventory programs.
Research variances to determine appropriate root cause, whether process or behavior, and track the information for operational review.
Ensure compliance to inventory processes and procedures.
Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-year experience with distribution operations including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory control practices.
Deep and broad understanding of Inventory Control, its financial and operational impacts.
Prior experience with cycle counting.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to create and analyze complex spreadsheets using Excel.
Meticulous record keeper with exceptional time management and verbal/written communication skills.
Fork lift and high reach certification.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Positive, professional attitude.
Overall a team player who understands the big picture.
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and crouch.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
