Assistant Video Editor

We are looking for a highly organized and ambitious Assistant Video Editor who will support the day-to-day operations of the Post-Production team. We are looking for someone who is hardworking and has a positive attitude with a desire to be creative and collaborative.
Job Description
The Assistant Video Editor will support all editor functions including preparing materials for project edit, exporting, and finishing. In addition, the Assistant Video Editor will be responsible for specific editorial duties including social cutdowns and reformatting, short form editorial content and quick turnaround clips. Qualified candidates should be well-versed in the fundamentals of good storytelling and an understanding of industry trends. The Assistant Video Editor needs to have a strong sense for collaboration and problem solving, and a passion for yoga, fitness and overall healthy living.
This is a contract role and you must be based in the Seattle, Washington area. This position may require you to be in office one day per week while working from home. At this time we do not offer relocation packages. Requirements

• 3+ years experience in Video Post-Production
• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite software (especially with Adobe Premiere, multi-cam editing). Experience with After Effects, Lightroom and Photoshop preferred.
• Solid understanding of digital media, video technology and post-production workflows
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Extremely well organized and a self-starter
• Ability to prioritize under time constraints and work successfully in a fast-paced environment
• Highly collaborative
• Ability to astutely communicate solutions and workflows to stakeholders
• Understanding of file systems and database management

Responsibilities

• Work with editors and producers to ingest, organize, and prepare raw footage from productions.
• Prepare Premiere projects for editors, ingesting footage, linking media, synchronizing multi-cam edits, organizing b-roll and cutdown interview footage.
• Collaborate with editors and producers to pull project files and relevant video for brand projects.
• Prepare and export finished content for asset requests such as altering resolutions, creating and adding end slates, cut downs, etc.
• Upload content to AloMoves.com, Dropbox, YouTube and other business platforms.
• Update and maintain music licenses / spreadsheets.
• Edit photo and video content as needed.
• Provide support to editors where needed.
