Assistant To Mortgage Loan Officer

Top producing mortgage team is seeking an experienced Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) to work approximately 50 warm leads per month in an inside sales position. The LOA will be compensated with a base salary plus a per closed file bonus.

The perfect candidate:

• Has at least 1 year of experience as an LOA, Loan Officer, or Loan Processor
• Has excellent phone skills
• Has the ability to sell to warm leads on the phone (no cold calling)
• Can structure a complex loan
• Is comfortable in a high tech, paperless office
• Embraces the idea of working from a checklist in a regimented fashion
• Has a keen sense of urgency -- recognizes and handles urgent issues quickly
• Is extremely organized
• Refuses to leave work with untied loose ends. Takes full ownership of their work.

Job Duties

• The candidate will be required to obtain their NMLS license within 90 days of hire (licensing paid for by company).
• Answer incoming calls from potential mortgage clients referred by real estate agents
• Sell the client on using our team for their financing needs including taking their loan application or selling them on using our online application
• Convert 65% of leads -- meaning full loan application.
• Schedule a consultation with lead loan officer
• Complete and review loan applications and pre-qualify clients for mortgage loans
• Quote and lock loans
• Maintain a database of current clients, keeping in touch weekly
• Ensuring that all clients have what they need when you leave for the day.
• Review supporting documentation (paystubs, w-2s) against program guidelines to issue a complete and accurate pre-approval.
