Assistant Strategic Initiatives Manager
What Will You Do?
The Assistant Strategic Initiatives Manager is responsible for assisting the day-to-day management of the company’s strategic projects and initiatives, including scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, communications, research, plans and timing. This position will help drive planned change to achieve business results.
The Assistant Strategic Initiatives Manager is also responsible for collaboration with a variety of teams to assist in communicating and executing short and long-term strategies as well as assisting in the alignment between online and brick-and-mortar stores.
- Accurately maintain collaboration results from applicable business units to manage the Company’s strategic projects and initiatives, including research, scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, communications, plans and timing.
- Support schedules and associated deliverables, including the development of presentations and other communications.
- Maintain all project documentation; participate in the management of multiple project budgets.
- Support internal and external communications that are developed and deployed in support of all strategic initiatives.
- Monitor timelines, budgets and target dates in project tracking software.
- Prepare status summaries, reports, responses to information requests and other materials.
- Troubleshoot issues when needs arise and escalate when appropriate.
- Interface with other corporate functions, as needed, to coordinate activity and further project goals.
- Ensure all project documents are archived following project completion.
- Perform competitor analysis of strategies to keep abreast of current trends.
- Mentor new team members during onboarding and new hire training.
- Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.
What Do You Need?
- 2 years of relevant planning or project management experience, Required
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related degree or equivalent work experience, Required
- Knowledge of project management principles, processes, tools and techniques
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Document management system
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Maintain confidentiality
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel, internet
- Strong skills in agility, along with the ability to pivot easily when directions and priorities changes on short notice
- Perform under strong demands in a fast-paced environment
- Work professionally with customers and co-workers to efficiently serve our customers, treating both with enthusiasm and respect
