The Assistant Sourcing Specialist's responsibility is to work side by side with the Sourcing Specialist to focus and align the Global Sourcing organization to meet the customer demands by offering the highest quality product at the best value possible.
Your Impact
- Support development of samples in all apparel categories, understanding of pricing, delivery and terms for businesses
- Through daily e-mail communication with our offices, agents, and direct suppliers, build strong relationships with our sourcing partners to ensure proper implementation of Qurate's standards and procedures, adherence to calendar milestones and proactive identification of issues that could impact the business
- Partner with design, technical design and buying team members to ensure seamless development processes are in place and maintained
- Partner with QA and Supply Chain to ensure processes are in place to ensure uninterrupted flow of merchandise
- Conduct follow up research on DDGS styles that are identified on the Voice of the Consumer and Low Star Rating reports and present back findings to the full Global Sourcing team
- Manage sample yardage trigger chart to mills/vendors
- Collaborate, organize and communicate fabric development with design and overseas offices in accordance with the product lifecycle calendar
- Complete sample requests in Flex PLM and track samples and costing in system for proto review preparation

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Merchandising, Marketing, Business, Product Design preferred)
- Minimum 0-2 years of experience in apparel merchandising and product creation
- Ability to quickly analyze data/situations and draw relevant conclusions to have positive effects on business in a complex environment
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
- Ability to access information using automated systems (e.g., windows based computer)
- Ability to make oral and written presentations; ability and confidence to present opinions and thoughts in a clear, unbiased manner
