Assistant Restaurant Shift Manager

The Assistant Restaurant Shift Manager is responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager and Shift Manager with daily front of the house operations in the restaurant including deli and banquet services for the casino. Duties include assisting other employees as needed and effectively communicates any concerns or issues regarding staff, operations or equipment issues to the Restaurant Manager. Assists with Beverage department operations during the absence of the beverage managers. Carries out all duties as assigned by the Restaurant manager while assisting as needed. Performs additional job related duties as assigned by the department manager while providing superior guest service to patrons of the casino.
Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Experience & Requirements:

• Two years management experience is (preferred)
• One year experience in a bar or restaurant environment is required
• Must have knowledge in all aspects of lounge, restaurant, deli, bar, and kitchen environments
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must have knowledge of computers and POS systems
• Must be able to demonstrate superior guest service skills
• Must have a valid Washington State food handlers card

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours
• Must have good manual and finger dexterity for computer operation
• Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis
• Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen
• Upon offer must obtain Class IIIA Gaming License ($273 - $335)
• Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays

Must be able to obtain a Class IIIA gaming license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
