Job Description
McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure clinical track Assistant Professor faculty position in the Department of Pediatrics Neonatology. The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other service.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The Assistant Professor in Pediatrics Neonatology will provide direct patient care and supervision of medical students, neonatal nurse practitioners, fellows, and residents in a clinic and hospital settings. The candidate will participate in the Pediatrics Neonatology practice at Memorial Hermann TMC locations: including participation in a UT general Pediatrics Neonatology physician group call team for coverage.
Qualifications:The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License. Required or preferred board certification as a Neonatologist. Qualified applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, discovery and service, have potential to be outstanding in their field of expertise, and share an interest in fulfilling the common goals of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.
