Job Description
The Global Child, LLC is seeking an Assistant Preschool Teacher candidate to support our Preschool program in our Stonington, Ct center. The candidate would work full-time in the preschool classroom on a daily basis. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices, be nurturing, reliable, flexible, and enjoy spending time with children.
General Responsibility:
  • Implementation of the curriculum for children in a center-based setting.

Specific Responsibilities (Be knowledgeable about):
  • Developmentally appropriate practices and the CT Early Learning and Development Standards.
  • Planning according to the individual needs of each child.
  • Developmental assessments and conducting observations of children daily.
  • Encouraging family engagement in the program.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Qualifications:
  • Degree Required: BA Degree Preferred, Associate Degree Required.
  • Experience is a must.

Special Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be skilled in building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience working with young children or in a licensed childcare center is a must.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
