Assistant Manager

Responsible for providing customers with a satisfying shopping experience, including fast and friendly service. Major responsibilities beyond customer satisfaction include the supervision of register transactions, maintaining general appearance and store cleanliness in a fast-paced environment while adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Seeks advice from the Store Manager when limits of authority to resolve customer complaints are unclear.
• Accurately complete daily paperwork including but not limited to: Day Close, scan audits, processing in PDI, counting money, completing the activity log, loading the ATM, going to the bank to make the deposit, accepting and verifying deliveries along with processing invoices, and ensuring the stores pricing tags are complete.
• Efficiently ring up all sales on a cash register properly and accurately, handling money, checks, and other types of payment received for products sold.
• Works closely with Store Manager to assure adequate training of staff.
• Stocking products on shelves and making sure the store looks clean and professional always.
• Forecast, order, stock and merchandise products and deliveries.
• Budget and forecast Profit & Loss lines, as well as understand and manage merchandise margins
• Ensure prompt, efficient and courteous customer service to store customers, vendors, and staff
• Maintain a clean, customer friendly environment in the store and surrounding property
• Develop, manage and assign tasks appropriately to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized and well-kept based on Company standards
• Maintain property and equipment to ensure customers have a safe shopping experience
• Responsible for adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Will cover any and/or all management responsibilities during the absence of Store Manager.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required.

Previous customer service experience preferred

Previous cash handling experience preferred

Basic math and counting skills required

Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Must be able to work independently with limited supervision

Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs.
