Haymaker is consistently ranked amongst the top 5 public golf courses in Colorado and boasts an exceptional links style layout in the heart of the Yampa Valley. We pride ourselves on providing a standard of customer service unparalleled in public golf, strong adult and junior instruction programs, and a robust seasonal membership to accompany our public customer base. We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to learn, and who will use this knowledge to advance their career in the golf industry. Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills are key attributes to this position. Individual will be working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of responsibilities including tournament management, work with point of sale and reservation systems, inventory management, instruction and a variety of other responsibilities. Active status in the PGA as an apprentice or Class A professional is required for this position. This position would start approximately May 1st through November 15th.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Work closely with the Head Golf Professional and other staff professionals to ensure all operational goals are met. Work with passholders and members of the public to provide the highest level of customer service. Assist in the creation and promotion of internal golf events using Golf Genius tournament software. Work under direct supervision of Head Golf Professional on league and event management on a daily basis. Assist in receiving stock merchandise using Club Prophet POS system. Assist in inventory controls including monthly inventory reporting. Have an intimate working knowledge of golf operations rules and procedures (i.e. tee sheet management, pace of play, rules of golf, etc). Enforce all club rules and regulations based on stated golf course policies.Manage the day-to-day operations of running the golf shop. Assist with junior and adult golf clinics. Numerous opportunities for additional income available through clinics and private instruction. 90/10 split on all lesson income.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED preferred.Class “A” PGA certification or active in the PGA apprentice program required.Must be a highly organized individual.Strong interpersonal skills required.Ability to multi-task is a must.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
This is a full-time seasonal position 40hrs/week. $22.15-$29.90/hr DOE Significant lesson income potential at a 90/10 lesson revenue splitEOE.
