Summary
KIK/Prestone is seeking a talented, passionate, and highly motivated leader to join its team as the Plant Operations Assistant Controller. This position will be responsible for performing finance duties and support associated with the three Automotive Manufacturing Plants and associated 3PL facilities. The duties include general ledger closing, planning and budgeted, product cost accounting, inventory control, and strategic support. This role will report directly into the Plant Controller
Essential Job Functions:

• Perform monthly closing of financials for facility in accordance with GAAP with full income statement & balance sheet responsibility for plant location.
• Provide daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting of production and expense metrics to plant Manager.
• Work in conjunction with Plant and Divisional leadership to optimize plant performance and drive annual productivity agenda.
• Prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts comparing projected results to prior year, budget and previous forecasts.
• Manage product standard costs including applying cost changes and analyzing variances to the standard cost
• Inventory Control for raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, and fixed assets. This includes excess and obsolesce reviews, monitoring inventory turn analysis, and leading physical inventory counts.
• Liaison and communicate with Corporate and third-party stakeholders. This includes providing support for internal audit, external audit, and corporate Integrated Supply Chain.
• Creation of capital spending project analysis.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Accounting. CPA designation preferred
• At least 3 to 5 years of manufacturing accounting or relevant financial experience
• Experience with month end close and maintaining a strong internal control environment
• Proficient with financial modeling, demonstrated analytical and statistical problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheet analysis. Experience manipulating data within large database systems
• Experience working with an ERP system (current system is JDE)
