Job Description

Jefferson Apartment Group is a full-service real estate firm specializing in multifamily and mixed-use real estate investments through our acquisition, development, construction and property management services. We are seeking an Assistant Community Manager to join our team at The Residences at Annapolis Junction, a luxury 416 unit apartment community in Annapolis Junction, MD. www.ajapts.com

The Assistant Community Manager will perform a variety of administrative and management duties, focusing on leasing and cultivating resident relationships; assumes supervisory authority when the Community Manager is offsite.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assists with property and office administration including reporting, managing lease files, audits and renewals. Collects and analyzes data on established and prospective real estate transactions
  • Assists with posting rents, daily deposits and managing delinquency through effective rent collections
  • Ensures apartment is ready for resident move in on agreed date
  • Leases and markets vacant and upcoming apartments
  • Walks apartments and reports all necessary improvements
  • Responds to current resident requests for information
  • Assists with various outreach efforts and online marketing
  • Assists in conducting market surveys and shopping competitive communities

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of property management experience required
  • A high school diploma or equivalent and professional knowledge of business discipline are required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional vocational training or a four-college degree is preferred
