The Assembler II position is a key member of the Assembly department. This position will inspect and tests assembly parts and components, work in progress materials to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer and internal specifications. Reports directly to Assembly Supervisor.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a safe work environment and use proper safety devices as provided.
- Perform all job functions without the aid of a trained associate or set-up person.
- Special jobs such as cleaning, penetrate testing, laser marking, electric actuators etc.
- Make quality checks using gages as required.
- Interface with the Maintenance team to ensure continuous operation of critical machinery and to troubleshoot machine errors and faults.
- May also be responsible for the assembly of standard products where procedure and methods are prescribed.
- Work involves intricate fitting, adjusting and aligning of units or subassemblies.
- This may involve a considerable number of parts, close tolerances, and interrelated factors.
- Maintain a channel of communication between management and departmental personnel.
- Maintain 6-S Standards in work area.
- Actively participate in plant improvement projects and teams.
- Perform CT 76 assembly, calibration and testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE :
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Assembly
- Must have excellent attendance track record
- Good performance track record including high levels of safety and quality results.
- Effective communication and problem solving skills
- Must work with sense of urgency
- Ability to learn quickly and become fully competent in the assembly of D series valves, DMTSeries Liquid and Gas Multivariable Flow Meter.
- Ability to learn quickly and become fully competent in the flow calibration of both liquid and gas
- Ability to learn quickly and become fully competent in the dielectric strength test, HI-POT test.
- Must support and work in a team environment
