POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Welder to join our Operations team in Huntsville, AL! This position is responsible for working on thin sheet metal steel applications. This role will utilize hand and power tools including grinders, shop saws, and punch equipment.

We're offering $2000 SIGN ON BONUS for this role!!

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Follows instructions to assemble units
• Comprehends work orders and blueprints/drawings to produce parts for finished products
• Inspects parts for defects after being formed and acting if needed
• Utilizes mig welder to perform welding tasks on thin steel sheet metal material from 12-18 gauge
• Assembles, fabricates, modifies, and repairs hollow metal steel doors and frames
• Uses 4 & 7-inch grinders to grind bondo & welds for final finish & paint
• Cleans and maintains equipment on a regular basis

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Basic welding experience
