JOB SUMMARY
The Mechanical / Electrical quality control representative ensures that the mechanical and electrical scopes on the project are compliant with the Contract Documents.

The Mechanical / Electrical quality control representative ensures that the mechanical and electrical scopes on the project are compliant with the Contract Documents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)
- Implement a project-specific Quality Control plan.
- Supervise on-site quality control staff and subcontractors
- Coordinate with superintendent and subcontractors in preparing technical submittals.
- Perform QC inspections at the jobsite.
- Prepare daily Quality Report for Government review.
- Coordinate and review purchase orders for contract compliance.
- Receive and inspect materials.
- Update the project submittal register, as required.
- Preparation of and review RFIs (request for information). This shall include technical RFIs from subcontractors for all disciplines.
- Preparation of Change Orders in coordination with Project Manager.
- Review of testing reports and plans for all disciplines. Input these test reports into the government software database, RMS (Resident Management System).
- Update the Project Schedule in coordination with Superintendent, Project Manager and Project Scheduler.
- Review and input of monthly pay request application into RMS.
- Updating on-site as-built drawings for all disciplines.
- Conduct prepatory installation meetings for all definable features of work.
- Project turn-over, close out inspections and punch list.
- Oversee on-site Commissioning team. Review Commissioning reports for submission to the COE.
- Review and implement of the contract documents (plans and specifications) to ensure on-site Work meets the contract requirements.
- Participate in all project meetings to include weekly owner meetings with COE and MDA, weekly schedule meetings and weekly subcontractor meetings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required
- Bachelor degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
- Ability to pass a Federal background check and pre-employment drug & alcohol screening.
- Five (5) years’ experience for Department of Defense federal construction projects.
- Ability to complete Construction Quality Management for Contractors, or complete within 10 days of hire.
- Skill in the use MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain any clearances required to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Knowledge on use of US Army Corps of Engineers RMS contract administration software.
