Madeline Hotel & Residences:
The Madeline Hotel & Residences, an Auberge Resorts Collection, is ideally situated in the heart of Mountain Village, is the stunning alpine resort above the historic town of Telluride, Colorado. The 83-room and 71-residence hotel finely blends Auberge’s distinctive flair for authentic and elevated experiences with the local flavor of the destination. Surrounded on three sides by the dramatic 14,000-foot peaks of the San Juan Mountains, Madeline features guest rooms and suites and one- to four-bedroom residential condominiums that offer expansive Mountain Village views and sophisticated alpine amenities. At the helm of the resort’s culinary program is Chef Bill Greenwood who brings his expertise to the hotel’s signature restaurant, Black Iron Kitchen + Bar, delivering Rocky Mountain flavors with the pioneering essence of the American West. Additional amenities include: the best ski-in/ski-out access in town; slope-side Ski Valet offering seamless service and state-of-the-art equipment; the 4,000-square-foot Alpine Swim Club featuring a heated outdoor swimming pool, hot tubs, fire pits and al fresco lounge; The Madeline Ice Rink; the 3,000-square-foot M Lounge featuring a game room, outdoor fire tables and an indoor/outdoor bar; an alpine-inspired spa and salon, along with yoga, Pilates, and personal training studio. The Area Leisure Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and sourcing leisure / transient business in accordance with the collection’s strategic plan to maximize room revenue during peak and nonpeak periods. Responds to sales inquiries, initiates new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clients, entertains clients, conducts site visits and answers questions, determines rates, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, services accounts for the hotel/s. Develops sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue goals. Works with various departments to ensure requested services are provided to customers. Must have Leisure Travel experience. Luxury experience preferred. The Area Leisure Sales Manager reports directly to the Area Direct of Sales
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee account and production goal in the assigned region for Hotel Jerome and Madline Hotel & Residences.
Support the collection’s revenue goals by generating leisure / transient at each hotel.
Maintain a rigorous schedule of direct sales efforts via phone, email and in person, that will support hotel(s) positioning in both volume and rate growth.
Evaluate and initiate opportunities for developing new sources of business.
Build effective relationships with consortia accounts - AMEX FHR, Virtuoso, Signature, etc.
Solicit, negotiate, and service appropriate FIT accounts as it relates to agent training, marketing, reservations, etc.
Support and participate in calls with revenue, sales, and marketing and property specific calls as needed.
Accurately maintain and build Sales force database of clients.
Abide by policies and procedure of Auberge Resorts.
Keep department heads informed of problems to ensure prompt correction and ensure guest satisfaction.
Be available to work on property as required.
Evaluates promotional events, trade shows, community, and industry events to make sure attendance produces the proper return on investment.
Maintain customer, trade, industry, and staff relations.
Target key accounts to host familiarization trips to increase ROI.
Conduct ongoing internal training with hotel reservations, front office and F&B as needed to ensure resort performance with consortia programs and expected service levels.
Work with tourism organizations to maximize regional opportunities and buying power.
Perform other duties as directed, developed, or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Four-year college degree, preferably in Hospitality, Marketing, Business or a related field) or equivalent education/experience
Minimum 4 years sales leadership experience in a leisure position in luxury hotel/destination sales environment.
Demonstrated record of driving sales revenues in luxury hotel/destination environment

PAY RANGE: $70,000 – $80,000 (Base) + Incentive
