How you will make a difference
- Offer spiritual nurturing in an interfaith environment with a non-denominational approach
- Offer spiritual leadership and support for residents, families, and Stakeholders that helps them align with their higher purpose
- Plan, organize and direct or delegate spiritual activities and encounters that will bring to light the diverse cultures and traditions of the residents and Stakeholders
- Whether assigned to one facility or multiple, you are part of a market team where you will support one or more facilities as well as play an important part of forming and fostering a market vision that aligns pillar and operational goals and objectives
- Meet the physical and sensory requirements stated below and be able to work in the described environment.
- Partner and engage assistance from volunteers and others to ensure services are complete.
- Organize the day’s workflow by using a referral process to schedule visits.
- Assist with creating a sustainable pool of Volunteer Chaplains that will include: Recruitment of volunteers in the community who could support chaplain services, Working with IDT to provide orientation to Volunteer Chaplains, Working with IDT to coordinate Volunteer Chaplain schedules and specific duties
- Oversight of Spiritual Interns that will include: Orientation and onboarding processes, Clear direction on duties while in the facility
- Create and sustain relationships within communities served.
- Contribution of 2 Daily Devotional and 2 Daily Inspiration submissions per month.
- Support the promotion of Sacred Six by reflecting values and distribution of information (email, printed, etc.) and as directed by CEO/Administrator.
- Build on-going relationships with Stakeholders and provide emotional/spiritual support, as needed.
- Complete required documentation including visit reports, 1:1 documentation sheets, etc.
- Complete hospital rounding and visits, as needed.
- Attend funeral service, as needed.
- Assist with fundraising for Signature Foundation by promoting causes and events with new and established community partners.
- Partner with IDT to coordinate and organize Celebration of Life services, as needed.
- Support Spirituality Pillar initiatives (e.g. call center, etc).
- Attend trainings/education, as required.
- Submit required reports/correspondence in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate “servant Leadership” that will include: Answer call lights, as able., Assist with dining room services, as able.
- Travel to facilities within a defined region, as requested.
- Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
- Board Certified Healthcare Chaplain or multiple units of CPE and or a combination of education and related experience in healthcare chaplaincy, preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
- Current/active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License and CPR certification preferred.
- Possess a heart of servanthood, love and compassion to minister to the elderly, family members and Stakeholders in an LTC environment.
- Eager to respect, learn about and train in other cultures and customs and work across different faith groups.
- A trustworthy, respected community professional committed to meeting spiritual needs.
- Conduct and behavior that exhibits an elevated moral and ethical standard.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.
- Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.
