Job Description
The Architecture and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Manager is the Lead business solutions architect for the Global Jack Links IT Organization, who is responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions that align with overall technical architecture, as well as policy and compliance requirements. This is a key role in promoting the architecture and technical capabilities at Jack Link’s and help build an Enterprise Architecture practice. This role manages a team responsible for project and portfolio management for the IT organization. This job requires strong interpersonal and communication abilities since he/she will work with a wide variety of team members across the organization including stakeholders, executives, individual contributors, and subject matter experts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
Architecture
- Provides solutions to complex projects and programs to meet business goals that include, but are not limited to, those having a range platforms and areas of expertise that are strategic and long-term in scope.
- Develops high-level architecture designs and documentation to facilitate integration with existing and future Jack Link’s technical and enterprise architecture
- Accountable for cross functional integration and data flow design between SAP ECC and other applications
- Participates in the development of and maintains documentation, artifacts, and deep knowledge of, the current state and future roadmap of the technology footprint for the company
- Performs in-depth analysis of proposed technology prior to the procurement and build process to ensure alignment with technical architecture and business goals, and propose changes as required to meet those objectives.
- Performs analysis and provides oversight of detailed technical designs to ensure they conform with the strategic direction, security requirements, and operational capabilities of the company.

- Manages multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced highly technical environment
- Integrate global portfolio governance framework to evaluate and prioritize enterprise IT requests and maximize business value
- Responsible for project governance and risk management
- Play a key in developing, driving and managing the IT strategy
- Manage, coach, develop, and provide technical guidance to IT project managers
- Develop and participate in the IT governance processes to set priorities and resolve conflicts across multiple teams
- Develop, maintain, and grow strategic vendor relationships to the benefit of the organization and IT strategic goals.
- Responsible for budget coordination
- Delegates tasks to various teams and ensures that they are successfully completed
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor Degree in computer related field or equivalent work experience
Required Experience:
- 10+ years’ of experience working in technology roles engineering technical solutions for a global enterprise
- 8+ years of technical and cross-functional experience of an ERP system such as SAP ECC (S/4 HANA preferred)
- 3+ years of experience as lead solutions architect in a consumer goods or manufacturing industry
- In depth understanding of data structures and flows with in SAP ECC modules and other complementary systems; working experience in leveraging data to generate business outcomes
- Exposure to Enterprise Architecture practice is required
- Implementation and technical integration experience for major IT projects involving multiple applications
- Proven ability to leverage technology trends in delivering business solutions
- Experience in successfully managing high profile projects
- Experience in successfully leading small IT teams
- Working knowledge of project and portfolio management processes and methodologies
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum Master experience or PMP certification is preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES:
- Thorough understanding of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.
- Knowledge of latest technology trends and innovations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and employees
- Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
- Available for afterhours support as needed
