Work Environment:
Be a part of a new and quickly-growing high-end residential architecture and design firm in La Jolla, Ca. You would be the 5th member of this dynamic team. A casual but driven work environment, that delivers excellent top-notch designs and has fun along the way. This is an incredible opportunity for an inexperienced person to gain exposure quickly to all aspects of the design and construction process, including; design, permitting, construction documents, construction management, material selections, bidding and pricing.

Job Duties:

• Set-up REVIT models and prepare construction documents and architectural details from rough sketches
• Permit coordination and management
• Research products and specify materials
• Photoshop rendering and schematic plan rendering.

Desired Skills/Education:

• 3-8 years of experience in residential architecture preferred
• 2-year or 4/5-year degree in Architecture, Drafting, Interior Design or related field or currently pursuing a degree in one of those fields
• Knowledge of REVIT is recommended. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop and Microsoft office required
• Past experience in construction, architecture, design or similar field is a bonus but not required
• Hand drawing ability is desired but is not required
• A strong work ethic, highly organized, good time management, and attention to detail a must.

Job Description:
You will be using critical thinking skills to develop plans for design reviews, permits and construction sets. A detail-oriented person with a passion for design would be a good fit for this opportunity.
