Located at Napleton’s, Oakbrook Terrace office, the Architect is responsible for working on various projects to support the Real Estate Department at our corporate headquarters. The position reports to our Director of Real Estate and works together with the Senior Architect

Job Responsibilities:

• Produces architectural drawings using CAD, sketching, or other methods for commercial projects including office buildings; retail establishments; restaurants, big box retail, specialty retail, and other structures as required. Project work includes new development and remodeling for Automotive Dealerships, Offices, and other Retail establishments.
• Must have knowledge of all phases of the design construction process. Collaborates with tenants, owners, and others to understand the guidelines issued for various projects and assures that designs fit into those parameters.
• Uses architectural tools to assure quality, cost effective designs which meet the guidelines of the footprint. Incorporates detailing into the design to enhance the look of the structure.
• Able to operate in a team environment by interacting with Contractors, Construction Managers, Internal and External Project Managers, and Construction/Real Estate staff.
• Supports Senior Architect on project work as required.
• Creates and delivers presentations to communicate detailed information on projects to attendees.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture required.
• Architectural License highly desirable.
• A minimum of 3years of experience in Architecture.
• Commercial background preferred.
• CAD proficiency and Autocad 2012 or higher necessary.
• Excellent communication/organizational skills.
• Knowledgeable in MS Office, with Excel experience.
• Strong detail orientation.
• Public presentation skills are a plus.
• Minimal travel
