The Architect - Big Data & Cloud will be responsible for leading the overall Big Data and Cloud adoption across DNB globally. He or she will work with various Product and Business teams to understand their needs, and propose appropriate cloud-based architecture/design for implementation. She or he will be leading large Analytics, and Cloud initiatives while working with various IT Infrastructure, Business, and Vendor teams. Key Responsibilities:
    • Work with various BU/IT teams to understand their current requirements/pain points, document use cases/tech requirements, and suggest appropriate cloud-based solution architecture’s.
    • Identify and solve design problems of moderate to complex cloud implementation, should independently plan and design solutions, involving potentially conflicting design requirements.
    • Good communication/presentation and influencing skills are a MUST as there is heavy interaction with various executive stake holders.
    • Educate engineers on good design & implementation principles, best practices, standards, and enforce design concepts throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Work closely with application/operations teams to actively identify & resolve performance issues throughout public cloud landscape.
    • Contribute ideas and insights to develop new technologies, applications, techniques or procedures that are creative and practical.
    • Will be responsible for developing overall Cloud/Big Data architecture strategy, technical design, and other technical documentation to support various IT initiatives.
Key Requirements:
    • Should have atleast 15+ years of extensive experience in the area of IT infrastructure, Public/Private cloud, Application Solution Architecture, and building large scale Data/Analytical solutions.
    • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Design and implementation of Big Data technologies (AWS EMR, Cloudera, Databricks, Apache Spark, Kafka) and familiarity with data architecture patterns (data warehouse, data lake, streaming, Lambda/Kappa architecture).
    • Must have extensive experience on setting up, scaling out, managing, and performance optimization of large scale big data clusters
    • Should have hands on experience setting up and scaling out Databricks, AWS EMR, or any Big Data related solutions (AWS Kinesis, RedShift, ELK, Spark, etc.) at scale
    • Must have worked on atleast 2 large multi-region big data platform implementations in the last 2 to 4 years.
    • Should have experience rolling out Snowflake SaaS to multiple tenants (project teams) across the globe
    • Should have extensive knowledge of Snowflake financial governance, deployment models, architecture/design, and performance optimization
    • Should have experience of Snowflake RACI, and Operating Model
    • Should have extensive experience of Snowflake Data Marketplace solutions
    • Must have experience in architecting production-level workloads, including end-to-end pipeline load performance testing and optimization on the cloud based big data platforms.
    • Experience demonstrating an understanding of cloud based data & analytics platform best practices and leveraging them within various production level projects.
    • Deep technical knowledge & comfortable coding in Python or Spark/Scala. • Must have 4+ years of hands-on experience in architecting large scale applications on AWS or Azure public cloud environments.
    • Should be willing to take up the role of Cloud/Big Data SME, who will advise various BU/IT teams on architectural, design, performance tuning, cost efficiencies, and operations related issues.
    • Be a trusted advisor, and internal SME who will help BU teams with review of architecture patterns, and suggest cost effective models.
    • Must have experience on overall data governance, advanced data security including fine grain access controls, data privacy/protection, meta data management, and other related items.
    • Must have experience in setting up security architecture’s including firewalls, encryption, masking, KMS, IAM, MFA, network (VPC’s/VNET’s), compliance (SOX/HIPPA/PII), data protection, DevOps (automation, dockers, etc.), BCP/DR, SIEM, audit controls, CMP, and other related items.
    • Any experience on elastic search, solr, and other search engines is preferred
    • Advanced level certifications on public Cloud (AWS/Azure) or Big Data (Databricks, Cloudera, AWS) are highly desired.
    • Should have prior experience in developing work effort estimates, project plans, budget estimates, and roadmaps.
    • Any experience rolling out Machine Learning models at scale will be a HUGE plus.
    • Prior working knowledge of AWS EKS, or any container service will be a plus.
    • End to end lifecycle implementation experience building large enterprise scale applications using AWS/Azure cloud services is highly desired.
