Essential FunctionsThis role is responsible for planning, installing, configuring, securely maintaining, supporting, and managing applications serving the academic and administrative functions of the university. This role requires ongoing study of emerging cybersecurity threats and taking a lead role in remediating those threats for supported applications. An individual in this position should continually build upon a well-established foundation of technical knowledge, troubleshoot configuration and operational problems with applications, and actively research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies and practices. This position will necessarily communicate routinely and effectively with co-workers, users, and vendors. This position will uphold the ITS core principles of outstanding collaboration and communication, a drive to succeed, a passion for higher learning, and acting with integrity.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, equivalency considered
3-5 years of information systems experience; required
Must have excellent written/verbal communications and interpersonal skills with proven ability to initiate and facilitate team-oriented involvement and discussions; requiredDemonstrated knowledge of installing, upgrading and testing applications; requiredDemonstrated understanding of supporting various software environments; requiredDemonstrated experience monitoring, investigating, and/or mitigating application security concerns; preferredDemonstrated project management experience; preferredDemonstrated knowledge of database administration; preferred
