By getting more from technology to get more from life. We have an opportunity in our Santa Clara, CA office for a CAD Electronics Application Engineer.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with schematics, diagrams to check and troubleshooting functions.
• Carry out testing and collect the data.
• Work with Oscilloscopes and Volt Meters.
• Turn the schematics that the FAE’s provide into boards in the lab
• Work with Electrical circuits.
• Use electronics CAD tools such as CADENCE PCB Editor and/or Altium Designer to design PCB’s
• Support the FAEs in the development demo boards used for promotion of STMicroelectronics products.
• Build prototype boards according to schematics and BoM
• Responsible for ordering components and materials from a list of qualified suppliers
• Stock and keep track of components in the lab, test and repair electrical/electronic equipment as needed
• Responsible for all aspects of quality in work, processes, products, and results.
• Be responsible for technical functions in support of specific engineering activities by collecting data, performing electrical/electronic tests, and communicating results.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

ProfileRequirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Experience with CAD and PCB design
• Experience building PCB’s
• Experience reading schematics
• Experience building prototypes from Schematics
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work well on a team in the lab

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with CADENCE or Altium Design tools and how to apply design rules
• Experience soldering, components to surface mounted technology
