Job Description
The Applications Analyst will assist in implementations, maintain, and enhance the applications solutions (AdavntX, HST, Provation, gMed) deployed throughout the Tenet/USPI enterprise. Frequent collaboration with Tenet and/or USPI users and solution vendors is required.
Description of Responsibilities:
Develop a complete understanding of the application solutions deployed across the enterprise to provide ongoing support for Tenet and USPI users.
Communicate with vendors and other support services to install, implement applications as well as track trouble tickets and enhancements.
Maintain efficient operational performance through system monitoring and analysis of backend jobs, interfaces, etc.
Review software/ hardware upgrades and enhancements. Identify potential risks, follow internal change control processes.
Support the use of software applications, data feeds and peripherals utilized across the Enterprise
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues within software applications
Participate in an On-Call rotation; Occasionally work after-hours/weekends to support the needs of the centers
Clearly communicate technical information to both internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
Provide support to higher level managers or serve as an SME on complex projects
Provide front-line, second level support as part of the Applications Support team
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong communication, analytical skills, and a strong customer service commitment
Proactively contribute to increasing the team’s efficiency by sharing knowledge, providing feedback about best practices, writing tools / utilities
Knowledge of software applications and interface configurations related to patient scheduling and clinical applications.
Teamwork, ability to self-start, and excellent written and verbal communication skills will be mandatory for this role.
The ability to communicate effectively with vendors and center personnel on all levels is required
Strong organizational skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to establish predictable outcomes for our customers is required
Knowledge of computer applications and systems, as well as interpersonal and organizational problem-solving skills will be essential to perform this role
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a relevant field
3-5 years of application support experience
Preferred:
Ability to analyze data and develop system integration through a variety of interface types.
Take ownership of tasks and complete those tasks accurately and efficiently.
Be able to work with various internal groups and teams.
Possess the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous project tasks and deadlines in an implementation and production environment.
Must be able to serve as a resource and to share knowledge and skills with others.
Must work with all departments, vendors, and project teams to implement and maintain a high quality, process driven solution that meets the process and technology requirements for Tenet and USPI hospitals.
Be able to mentor to other analysts and end user team members on a technical level that they can comprehend.
