Job Description

DIICO Properties is seeking qualified Apartment Maintenance Technician for a 111 unit apartment community in Hollywood CA.

We are seeking someone who is customer service- oriented, driven, and professional.

$18-19 Per Hour.The hours would be Monday to Friday. This position requires the Maintenance Technician to live onsite in a studio or one bedroom apartment discounted rent may be applied.

Under the general direction of the Community Manager, the Maintenance Technician will help oversee the effective operations of the community (see below for expected responsibilities).

RESPONSIBILITIES MAINTENANCE

  • Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Community Manager
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned
  • Complete grounds work as directed by Community Manager which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas
  • Responsible for alerting the Community Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has taken place or that may occur ·
  • Complete payroll time sheets and mileage reimbursement and submit to Community Manager as determined
  • Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
  • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal guidelines
  • Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in basic trades; plumbing, electrical, carpentry, make-ready, miscellaneous repairs and painting
  • Must have own tools, reliable vehicle, acceptable driving record, a valid California Driver’s License and proof of vehicle insurance
  • High School Diploma or GED · Minimum 3 years experience in apartment maintenance and upkeep. · Bilingual Spanish/English is a definite plus.
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Ability to communicate with fellow employees as well as tenants and outside vendors
  • Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner
  • Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • This job requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly ·

Pay: $18.75 - $19.00 per hour
