Job Description
Overview: The A/P Lead will be responsible for the delivery of the end-to-end Accounts Payable function throughout Dovel. The role will be responsible for monitoring and execution of invoice processing, AP reporting and reporting to the Assistant Controller. Alongside being part of the A/P team, the role of the A/P Lead is to take part in development and implementation of newly established processes and procedures.Duties & Responsibilities:

- Timely entering of vendor invoices and employee expense reports, including:
- Receive and review of invoice packages to ensure proper documentation/receipts, required approval, and in compliance with DFAR and FAR regulations.
- Prepare ACH file for the vouchers selected during the weekly check run.
- Prepare EFT advices and check copies and attach to the corresponding vouchers.
- Prepare AP adjustments.
- Review and reconcile subcontractor/consultants’ invoices.
- Review open AP report, and provide explanations for aged unpaid invoices.
- Post cash disbursement to the correct vendor account for review
- Review vendor set-up.
- Provide support and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external auditors
- Take part and engage in staff training, and cross-functional process improvement initiatives
- Prepare and submit the 1099s in accordance with IRS guidance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Deltek CostPoint experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Gov Con industry experience
- Experience working full cycle A/P process (entering invoices, receiving approval, check run, verifying allowable/non-allowable/non-billable)
- Experience processing a high volume of invoices, 1099s, and expense reporting (Concur or Deltek T&E)
- Team player
- Verbal/written communication skills, ability to interface with project controllers, project managers and executive management
- Attention to detail
