Insurance Agent Support Coordinator Job Description

Responsible for providing sales support for all aspects of the Annuity Insurance application process. The lead coordinator will be able to have hands on knowledge of all aspects of the application process from submitted to issued. This role supports the insurance agents by; reviewing applications for missing information, following up with insurance carriers on status of transfers and identifying the necessary forms required for the case to be issued. Act as a liaison between carriers and agents.

Insurance Agent Support Responsibilities:

  • Ability to elicit an agent needs with speed and composure.
  • Answer questions for the agents specific to service inquiries and resolving problems, by responding orally and or in writing.
  • Triages basic agent Annuity calls and provide them with support material, illustrations, and when needed, refers them to qualified licensed representative
  • Have a passion to deliver top quality service.
  • Ensure agents license and credentials are current.
  • Able to navigate the Web and provide web-based documents to agents as needed
  • Follow up daily with carriers and transfer companies to ensure timely movement of paperwork and funds.
  • When necessary, assist in developing/operating procedures to ensure an efficient and effective annuities operation.

Qualifications


Insurance Agent Support Requirements:

  • Must possess proficient computer skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Window-based applications
  • Excellent telephone, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven to be highly dependable and self-motivator
  • Must work independently with sound organization skills.
  • Must possess strong people and problem-solving skills and be able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Active listening skills
  • Is curious and able to ask probing questions to obtain necessary information.
  • Able to work across time zones with remote team members
  • Must be receptive to detailed performance feedback
  • Insurance industry experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Must have good understanding of general office procedures, processes, and equipment.
  • Prefer a minimum education of a four-year undergraduate college degree, or the equivalent in experience.
  • Must possess strong people and problem-solving skills and effectively communicate with all leadership levels
  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks and set priorities to meet often stressful deadlines; while keeping goals, objectives, priorities, and timelines in perspective.
  • Ability to work as a team player at all times while following team concepts in supporting Agency goals and co-workers
  • Ability to work and resolve issues independently.
