Animal Care Manager

MA locations: $1000 sign-on bonus after completion of 90 days full time employment!

Best Friends Pet Hotel is the nation’s premier provider of pet boarding and grooming. We are seeking an animal lover with retail sales, customer service, hospitality, veterinary, restaurant or service management experience to join our Pet Resort Management Team. Strong administrative and sales skills are a plus. We need an individual who is ready to learn our business.

Seeking an experienced animal caregiver needed for our busy pet resort who is ready to take on management responsibilities and care for our furry friends.

The Animal Care Manager is responsible for the following:
Manage care of boarding pets
Maximize occupancy by preplanning and managing yield.
Order food and supplies as needed.
Perform basic repairs
Assist with all cleaning, feeding and exercising duties

Must be able to supervise a diverse staff with various skill levels
Ability to multi-task and work with high volume in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with a variety of dogs and cats
Good time management skills
Recognizes pet health concerns
Understands the basics of business management
Handy with basic tools
Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds, walk stairs, stand and walk for full shift.
Can work in an environment of pet dander and excretions and cleaning chemicals
Experience in Restaurant or Retail Management, Hospitality, Customer Service Animal care or Veterinary a plus.
