Role
Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be a critical member of a small but growing team. You will contribute to product road maps and work on software development and testing within an agile organization. The team cadence includes annual planning, quarterly offsites, monthly updates, weekly priority meetings and daily huddles to ensure we capture opportunities in a very fast-paced industry. You will work out of our Longmont, CO office and will be provided all the necessary productivity tools to be successful.

As an Android Developer, you will manage the design and build of the foundation of Vantage software. This critical role ensures the Vantage platform is integrated across parks globally and will oversee the development of the Android apps for the Vantage platform that drives the guest experience and park operations.

• Modularizing our system
• Achieving scalability
• Developing the platform while installing Vantage and supporting clientele

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries
• Participate in UI/UX design
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Design mobile-based features
• Software Implementation: code design, prototyping, module testing and version control
• Perform design reviews with team
• Assist back-end developers with troubleshooting and maintenance
• Optimization for speed and resource efficiency in a real-time environment.
• Participate in Conferences and Continuing Education
• Participate in Customer Meetings & Requirements Gathering
• Work closely with the development team on a daily basis
• As a small and growing company, there may be other duties as required

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience creating Android applications
• 2+ years using Kotlin
• Solid understanding of Kotlin coroutines and asynchronous programming
• Object-oriented programming principles
• Creating and using custom drawable files
• Understand intents, activities and fragments
• Experience with Material Design
• Great interpersonal and communications skills
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Familiarity with agile software development
• Understanding of Picasso is a plus
• Familiarity with in-app image manipulation is a plus
• Experience with HighCharts is a plus
