ROLE of the POSITION

This position will be responsible for the overall administration of the Anaplan Planning Platform for NSHE. As such, they will serve as the Budget System technology product owner, managing integration, consolidation, and refresh cycles in support of close, forecast and budget cycles. The incumbent will be the primary point of contact for all NSHE institutions for support and troubleshooting of integration issues and model logic problems, as well as interfacing with System Computing Services (who maintains the Workday side of the integration). The successful applicant will be responsible for providing training to the Anaplan leads at other institutions as well as training them on the use of the model as needed. The position will supervise and mentor at least one student worker, teaching them how to answer basic support questions and assist with managing the Anaplan environment.

The incumbent will drive the development of scalable planning and reporting solutions that provide business insight to UNLV senior leadership. The position will require someone who can collaborate with various campus areas to ensure appropriate delivery of technology solutions in accordance with business requirements and objectives.

The incumbent will also serve as the University's principle Anaplan Model Builder resource, working on cross-functional projects spanning the University landscape. The role will be tasked with managing projects and building models based on user stories and requirements for new implementations of the solution for various campus partners such as the School of Medicine, Student Affairs and Intercollegiate Athletics.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field from a regionally accredited college or university and 5-7 years' related experience OR in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, 5 or more years of experience in a Higher Education Financial Planning or Budget Office is required, or 10 or more years in another central finance office for Higher Education.

Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

SALARY RANGE

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.

Pursuant to Assembly Bill (AB) 3 passed by the Nevada State Legislature during the 31st Special Legislative Session, employees are required to take furlough at a 4.6 percent monthly reduction in compensation from January 1, 2021 through June 30, 2021.
