The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of motivation to succeed, highly developed sales and territory management skill sets in the Life Sciences and bioprocessing industry sector and is now looking for the next challenge at a rapidly evolving and innovative bioprocessing-focused life sciences company. The primary responsibility will be for direct sales of analytical capital instrumentation for the laboratory or in-process manufacturing setting in the biopharma/bioprocessing industry. The role is part of the Analytics Customer Success Group, reporting directly to the Director of Sales for North America.
Depending on the location, 50-60% travel may be necessary.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Direct sales of analytical laboratory and in-process capital instrumentation to biopharmaceutical and bioprocessing industries
- Develop and execute local/regional territory sales strategies.
- Drive the sales process to meet or exceed sales and profitability targets
- Develop and execute a territory management plan
- Own and drive key strategic projects to support the sales process
- Leverage other members of the Customer Success Teams e.g. Applications and Support teams for demos or applications development
- Conduct sales negotiations
- Establish and maintain Strategic Key Account relationships
- Develop new target accounts across the territory
- Provide accurate and timely sales reporting, opportunity management, and forecasting reports using Salesforce.com
- Interface with Business Leaders and Product Managers to ensure that appropriate product, market, and competitive information is shared in an accurate and timely manner
- Support the development of sales collaterals
- Execute all aspects of field sales activities to include customer visits, technical presentations and laboratory demonstrations
- Attend, manage, and follow up on trade show activities, and other marketing activities
Qualifications & Skills / Requirements:
- A minimum of a BS degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience in sales of analytical capital instrumentation for laboratory or in-process manufacturing spaces in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industries
- Willing to travel extensively throughout the territory
- Proven ability to build mutually beneficial, personable, trusting relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional team members and lead through influence
- Excellent negotiation and contracting skills.
- Ability to get the job done with “can-do” attitude and takes responsibility for results without direct supervision
- Attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, good analytical and problem-solving skills, multi-tasking skills, and strong organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
